Alison Botha, a woman from Port Elizabeth, South Africa, survived a horrific attack in 1994. She was abducted, raped, stabbed, and nearly decapitated by two men. Despite her severe injuries, she managed to crawl to the road and was rescued by a veterinary student named Tiaan. Tiaan used his skills to keep her alive until help arrived. Allison's injuries were described as inhumane, with her neck nearly severed, her trachea cut, and her abdomen disemboweled. She signed consent forms for surgery with a clear and readable signature, showing her incredible strength and will to survive. Alison Botha's story is one of incredible strength and resilience. Despite being brutally attacked and left for dead, she miraculously survived. The doctors called it a miracle. During the surgery, it was discovered that she had been sliced 17 times, but miraculously, none of the major arteries or nerves were hit. Alison's strength and determination were evident throughout her recovery and the subsequent trial. She was able to identify her attackers and played a crucial role in their arrest and conviction. Despite the trauma she endured, Allison has become a powerful advocate for survivors of sexual assault, traveling the world to share her story and inspire others.
