The Fox Sports Radio personalities provide listeners with a dynamic discussion as the two polar opposites take listeners through the biggest hits in sports.
The Odd Couple with Chris Broussard & Rob Parker podcast comes from the Fox Sports Radio show. The Odd Couple was also the title of a famous Neil Simon play, which became a movie and then a TV show. The joke was that a neat freak photographer had to live with a sportswriter slob friend. That show's introduction asked, "Can two divorced men share an apartment without driving each other crazy?"
But on The Odd Couple with Chris Broussard & Rob Parker podcast, both worked as sportswriters. Both are black men born in the 1960s. Both also do sports commentary for FS1, like appearing on Skip and Shannon: Undisputed. Broussard also cohosts First Things First. But that's where the similarities end. Parker calls their show "Goofy, but GOOD radio." But they are an odd couple indeed. They don't drive each other too crazy, though.
Parker is silly while Broussard is more serious. And they take opposite sides in many sports discussions. But that is what makes The Odd Couple with Chris Broussard & Rob Parker an entertaining listen. Parker gets passionate about a lot of things. Like when he went off on Tom Brady for returning to football in 2022. Parker insisted that "the football gods" were punishing Brady for not staying retired. In a later episode, he says it was a "slap in the face" for Brady to skip practice to go to Robert Kraft's wedding.
Broussard is more measured in his comments. The two argued in 2022 about whether NFL QBs Patrick Mahomes and Joe Burrow had a real rivalry. Burrow's Bengals had beaten Mahomes and the Chiefs three times. Parker pointed out that "It's NOT A RIVALRY! It's lopsided! It's one-sided!" Broussard said it is not lopsided because of Mahomes' Super Bowl experience.
The two hosts may disagree on many things, but their friendship keeps the friction fun. The Odd Couple with Chris Broussard & Rob Parker radio show is three hours long each evening. The podcast features separate episodes for each hour of the show. The episode descriptions detail the contents. So sports fans can decide which topics interest them.
