S7 Ep5: Community Spirit and Hey Arnold!
You generously assist a couple only to face an uncomfortable decision, or you spy your neighbour's kid oversharing online: What do you do now? Cosy up with your Sticky Pickles' hosts Carole and Maria as they "attempt" to wiggle out of these all new sticky dilemmas. Sticky Pickles: inspired by the internet, embellished by us. If you are in need a lil pick me up, you're in the right place. --- Carole's blow-your-mind flapjack recipe: Combine in big bowl: -425g porrige oats -1/2 tsp salt Melt together in small pot or microwave: -250g unsalted butter or coconut fat, -200g sugar (i like a mix of brown and white) -50g syrup (golden, maple, honey, corn syrup - whatever you like) Pour hot butter sugar sauce onto oats and mix in. *(Optional extras to mix in - yummy plain but also yummy sassed up) -handful of dark chocolate, any nuts, seeds, dried fruits or coconut -a shake of spice (cinnamon, cardamon, mace, nutmeg, ginger, etc -a slurp of vanilla or almond extract Bake: -Line a 1-inch-deep baking tin with parchment (mine is 8x8x3), and push the sticky oaty mush in. Compact it as much as possible. -Slap in middle of oven at 170c or 350f for 20 minutes. Then check every 5 minutes til it is browned, bubbling a little and smelling amazing. -Cool 10 mins.
