My guest today is Shimaz Rafique.
Shimaz is a Sri-Lankan expat living in Dubai. She has always been interested in International Relations and global affairs and wishes to pursue a career in it one day.
So I went to a few networking events for a ladies group. This is where I met Shimaz. She struck me as a gentle and resilient soul and I was so sure that she had a lot of incredible stories to tell.
In this episode we discuss being curious about international relations, Shimaz's incredible resilience in the face of domestic violence, how she met her husband, how she now helps other domestic violence victims to find their strength, her big ambitions, how she finds inspiration, her definition of success, her biggest fears and more!
