As we all know that characters which are used for writing stories are everywhere around us, if we have the eyes to recognize them. It is the writer who tells their stories to the world with his/her words. The same goes for the famous Punjabi writer Amrita Pritam who encounters a lady across a dhaba while she is returning from Chandigarh to Delhi.

This story is about that lady whose name is 'Karma Wali' is the connotation used for her who has escaped from the world of harshness and came across a new world. She has seen her desires being crushed by situations created by Patriarchal society.  As the lady tells about her life to Amrita, she pleads to her to exhibit her injured spirit to the world. Amrita Pritam on the other hand carves the protagonist for her story and thus writes it.

The cover art of this audiobook has been made by artist Gurdish pannu and Dr. Ruminder has given voice to this Punjabi short story.
