Our Editor's Take

Nic Edwards and Patrick "Captain" Edwards are friends from Columbus, Ohio who love cold beers and cold cases. If you’re a fan of TV’s Unsolved Mysteries or the podcast Crimes and Consequences, prepare to be blown away by True Crime Garage.

Before starting their crime podcast career in 2015, Nic worked in property management and Captain was a banker. The pair saw their opportunity when the Serial podcast, one of the first true crime podcasts of its kind, earned industry-wide acclaim in 2014. They had always been crime junkies at heart, obsessing over and following cold cases on TV and in the newspaper. Seeing the genre's success in podcasting gave Nic and Captain the desire to broadcast their passion for the entertainment of others. Low and behold, True Crime Garage was born!

Nic and Captain tout their true crime podcast for the not-too-serious armchair detectives. They’re around for fun and adventure just as much as they are for gore and scares, which makes this show a perfect blend of fun and fright. The pair explore archived missing persons cases, cold cases, infamous serial killers, and chilling solved cases.

In upholding Nic and Captain’s life advice: "Don’t take yourself too seriously," the pair frequently mix in a beer whilst foraying into the minds of serial killers and cold-blooded murderers. Without requiring a drink for the listener, this podcast always has some light-hearted lessons for fans as they explore this dark-themed genre.

Cassie Compton ////// 786Part 1 of 1  www.TrueCrimeGarage.com Cassie Kay Compton went missing 10 years ago from the town of Stuttgart, Arkansas.  Today she would be 25 years old.  She was just 15 when this mystery began.  According to reports, Cassie was dropped off at her mother’s home on the evening of September 14, 2014.  It is believed that the last person known to have seen Cassie was her mother’s fiancé Brandon Rhodes.  Rhodes would later face several unrelated charges for drugs, weapons, and stolen goods.  Brandon Rhodes remains a strong suspect in this disappearance and may hold the answers as to what happened to this little girl.  At the time of her disappearance Cassie was 5’3, 100 pounds with blue eyes, and dyed blonde hair.  There are some discrepancies as to what she was wearing at the time.  The investigating agency is the Stuttgart Police Department and tips should be sent to them.  SPD can be reached at 1-870-673-1414. Beer of the Week - Vengeance Jalapeño Cream Ale by Jack Pine BreweryGarage Grade - 3 and a half bottle caps out of 5  Join in the conversation by posting on the Garage Case Blog - www.TrueCrimeGarage.com   More True Crime Garage can be found on Patreon and Apple subscriptions with our show - Off The Record.  Catch dozens of episodes of Off The Record plus a couple of Bonus episodes and our first 50 when you sign up today.  Follow the show on X and Insta @TrueCrimeGarage / Follow Nic on X @TCGNIC / Follow The Captain on X @TCGCaptain  Thanks for listening and thanks for telling a friend.  Be good, be kind, and don’t litter!
