EP 156 Slaughtersun
Ben from Slaughtersun discussed the release of their EP "Black Marrow," set for January 10, 2025, featuring remixed and remastered songs from 2024. The EP was recorded at Frightbox Recording Studio, now closed. Ben highlighted the band's formation in 2023. The band includes members from Thank You, Scientist, Cranial Damage and Tombstoner. They plan local gigs, including an album release show on January 25, 2025. Ben emphasized the importance of efficient rehearsals and detailed demos to streamline the process. The band aims to complete their first album by the end of the year. About Slaughtersun: Officially formed in 2023 by band leader Ben Karas (THANK YOU SCIENTIST, WINDFAERER) after years of experimentation; SLAUGHTERSUN is a novel approach to the genre of death metal taking influence from bands such as GORGUTS, DEATH, CANNIBAL CORPSE and AT THE GATES. Comprised of Karas’ THANK YOU SCIENTIST band mate Cody McCorry, along with Jason Quinones (TOMBSTONER) and Justin Hillman (CRANIAL DAMAGE) SLAUGHTERSUN made its first strike in December 2023 with the release of the critically acclaimed single “Fall of the Firmament”, marking the band as a musical force to be reckoned with. The year 2024 has seen three more heavy hitting singles from SLAUGHTERSUN and it's safe to say that listeners can expect more forward thinking, demented compositions in congruence with jaw-dropping live performances to come in 2025 and beyond. #slaughtersun #thankyouscientist #cranialdamage #windfaerer #tombstoner #deathmetal #andnowtheband #fyp #viral #viralshorts #viralreels #podcasting
