Hi, Diana here, I am a quilter and an amateur poet. I enjoy the creative outlet that both quilting and poetry offer me. I think that both of these pursuits are enriching in their own way, but are also different in other ways. The act of quilting is like fine embroidery, working with a needle and thread to create designs that would be impossible using any other type of needle. In contrast, poetry is more spontaneous than quilting and more cerebral in nature. read less
