Michael A talks to one of the pioneers of Grindcore, metal legend Scott Carlson, bassist and singer of the influential band that almost wasn't, Flint's own Repulsion. They talk about meeting in the 80s and bonding over Redd Kross, Mudhoney and Mother Love Bone, Scott spins tales of metal madness, failure and surprise delayed success, and they're left with more questions than answers about Faygo Rock 'n' Rye. Will Repulsion make another album? Scott has an answer. Flint is one of the most unique cities in the world, with a vibe and a heart like no other. Michael A sits down with singer/songwriter/cringe video creator Fernando Silverio Solis, and they have a long and wide ranging conversation covering performing music in Flint, vegan coneys, vomiting frontmen, excessive volume, bad CGI, and most importantly, connection via art. Isn't that lovely? Full disclosure, there is a low level echo in the background of the interview. It comes and goes. Hopefully it isn't too distracting, it's a really enjoyable conversation. I'm still learning how to do this stuff, my apologies.
