Ready for a Transformation for the Entire Family?www.LittleLightChiropractic.comCheck out our Workshops on Empowered Pregnancies with Less Stress and Easier Labor and Delivery + Domino Effect workshop which is all about raising Empowered Childrenhttps://bio.site/littlelightchiro-------------------------------------SummaryPlagiocephaly, or flathead syndrome, can start in utero and typically occurs within the first month or two of life. The back-to-sleep campaign to prevent SIDS has contributed to the increase in plagiocephaly cases. The pressure on one spot of the head from sleeping on the back and using certain equipment can lead to a flat head shape. Early intervention through physical therapy and chiropractic care is crucial to prevent and correct plagiocephaly. Delayed motor skills, vision alignment issues, and increased risk of ear infections are some of the potential consequences of untreated plagiocephaly. Early prevention and treatment can have a significant impact on a child's development and overall well-being.Who is Dr. Cheyenne?Hi there! I'm Dr. Cheyenne, physical therapist for babies. I teach parents how to help their babies reach milestones- from breastfeeding to walking- through exercise, education, and encouragement. LLC#7 - Sympathetic Dominance
SummaryIn this episode, Dr. Vic Manzo discusses the misconceptions surrounding chiropractic and explains the importance of understanding the nervous system. He introduces the concept of the gas pedal and brake pedal analogy to explain the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems. Dr. Manzo highlights the prevalence of sympathetic dominance in society and emphasizes the need for a strong brake pedal system for optimal health. He explains how chiropractic adjustments can help build the brake pedal system and improve overall well-being. Dr. Manzo also discusses the role of chiropractic in pregnancy and child development. Overall, he emphasizes the importance of adaptation and neurological function for thriving in life.TakeawaysChiropractic is often misunderstood and associated only with treating pain, but it is actually focused on optimizing the nervous system and promoting overall health. The nervous system can be compared to a gas pedal and brake pedal, with the sympathetic nervous system representing the gas pedal and the parasympathetic nervous system representing the brake pedal.Sympathetic dominance, or being stuck in a gas pedal state, is prevalent in society and can lead to various health issues and a decreased ability to adapt to stress.Chiropractic adjustments help build the brake pedal system, allowing the body to heal, repair, and self-regulate more effectively.Chiropractic care is beneficial for pregnant women and children, as it supports healthy development and can improve pregnancy outcomes.Chapters00:00 Introduction and Personal Update01:19 Misconceptions about Chiropractic03:14 Chiropractic's High Satisfaction Rate04:40 The Gas Pedal and Brake Pedal Analogy06:07 The Importance of the Brake Pedal System08:03 The Prevalence of Sympathetic Dominance09:05 The Impact of Sympathetic Dominance on Society10:31 The Need for a Strong Brake Pedal System13:19 Chiropractic's Role in Building the Brake Pedal System15:14 Understanding Subluxation19:33 The Importance of Adaptation and Neurological Function21:33 The Benefits of Chiropractic for Pregnancy and Child Development22:57 Conclusion and Call to Action Hosted on Acast. LLC#1 - Roots to Wellness
Welcome to our first episode of many!We are excited to bring to you the beginning of this journey to where we will be providing information and inspiration on so many levels when it comes to Pediatric, Family, Prenatal, and Infertility Health!Yes, there will be other topics we will also share outside of this such as mindfulness, functional medicine, and much more. But before sharing all that wonderful information, we wanted to start this first podcast by sharing our WHY. Why we (my wife Veronica and I) are doing this? The purpose behind it so you know, right from the beginning of where our heart and intention is at.My wife will be joining me on some episodes from time to time to share things that she has extensively researched and what makes sense to me from a neurodevelopment standpoint when it comes to kiddos and much more.We will be interviewing experts to bring different levels of information to you. Our goal is to start with all the collaborations we are making with experts in the Knoxville, TN area and eventually, going to open it up to people that we know on a national and international level to share concepts that will inspire and empower you and your family to live their best lives possible. One thing I have learned over the years from being a business coach and helping my clients create a legacy is the biggest and most important legacy anyone will ever make is to raise the best humans possible. That's legacy. What we do with our kids, the values, the support systems we create, understanding their world and so much more is a TRUE legacy. It is something I learned in the past 2 years that has truly shifted my values in what I do. It doesn't matter if I become a billionaire, have 100 million people following me, etc., that is nothing compared to instilling all that I can into my children so they can adapt, be resilient, and navigate this world in a way that is 100x more aware to do that. This is one of the many reasons why we are so passionate about helping families, prenatal, and pediatrics.More on this in the episodes to come. So, enjoy this episode and hear our story.Don't forget to subscribe so you NEVER miss another episode.Join our email list to get up-to-date podcast releases PLUS additional content and info.
