Our Editor's Take

Adelia Acker, host of the That's OFfensive podcast, is unafraid to discuss adult topics that might seem taboo. Acker talks about female sexuality, sex work, mental health, and more. She shares insight about achieving success on OnlyFans and similar platforms. The "OF" in the show title is an abbreviation for OnlyFans.

That's OFfensive showcases personal stories and guest appearances. It sends a clear message that people who choose sex work are no different from others. Being secure in their skin and embracing their bodies doesn't make them "less than." If anything, the host feels it empowers every aspect of their lives.

Acker didn't always know she wanted to be on OnlyFans. She grew up in Scottsdale, Arizona, which is a conservative city. So, venturing into the online sex work industry wasn't an easy decision. Her parents also posed another challenge. With their religious background, they didn't approve of her going to parties and posting revealing pictures.

Nevertheless, Acker knew being a door-to-door salesperson was not her true path. She was throwing up and having stomach aches every week doing that. After an acid trip at a rave, the podcast host decided it was time to quit her job and try something new. She always felt comfortable showing off her body and expressing herself. So OnlyFans seemed like a good choice for an aspiring content creator. Having a successful Instagram account also helped her make that step.

On That's OFfensive, Acker invites others to share their journey into OnlyFans. These are people from various backgrounds who might not fit the mold people expect of a sex worker. For instance, one guest grew up in Iran and was a chemical engineer before switching careers. The interviewees are open about their body image issues, self-harming, and other issues. They also discuss threesomes, swinging, and other sex-related.

That's OFfensive seeks to teach its listeners that sexuality is a natural part of life. Every person might have a different experience of it. But the show feels that all expressions are valid. New episodes of the podcast come out on Tuesdays.
