While the pandemic confined people to their homes, gaming has helped to create both community and learning opportunities. According to British journalist and author Keith Stuart, the increasing interactivity and inclusivity of video games is now giving them meaning and value for a whole range of new audiences.

Keith Stuart is The Guardian’s video games correspondent and best-selling author of A Boy Made of Blocks, Days of Wonder and The Frequency of Us.
