This teaching addresses the fact that anyone who wants to be counted as one of G-d's people, a true believer, must realize that a commitment must be made to follow, emulate, and worship YHVH/Yahshua according to His Torah/instructions. There is no "gospel of profession" that gives anyone who professes the Name but does not follow G-d's laws a "golden ticket" of an easy non-accountability life or a "stay out of Hell free" card.
The benefits of choosing to follow G-d and His Torah are beyond human explanation. But all true believers must endure the "crucifixion stake" before the crown is given. The road to eternal life is narrow and few will find it (Matt. 7:13-14).
