Episode 14 (Vlog 14: Newspaper Archives,  Part 1): Robber Testifies Against Accomplice

Welcome back Free Rocky Nation!  Today’s episode is part of Season 2 of our podcast.  Season 2 chronicles my dad’s history.  You can still read the newspaper articles from dad’s trial for the two Armed Robberies.  I have the actual articles posted on our IG account if you would like to see them yourself.  I want you to understand the nature of the crimes and trial that lent my father to this sixty-five year sentence.  You can form your own opinions from there.

A journalist named Bob Wigginton from the local newspaper, The Quincy Herald Whig, attended my father’s trials.  He wrote his first article on January 25th, 1994.  Bob Wigginton’s second article is from January 26th, 1994.  Bob Wigginton’s third article is from January 27th, 1994.  His fourth, and final, article is from March 3rd, 1994, (not March 4th).

The title of this article is “Robber Testifies Against Accomplice”, which is interesting.  Kent Humphrey is testifying against my father, but the author lists my father as the accomplice, not the mastermind as he was convicted.
